I've read the description of each but maybe I'm just a bit dingy and can't tell if my guy has button or rose ears. What is really the difference?

Best place for that information:

The national breed club puts out great information!

The difference is where the ear breaks - where the cartilage lies. If you're not intending to show your pup, then it really doesn't matter.  Smile

The whole Illustrated Standard starts here:  http://www.pugs.org/indexIllusStandard.htm

Hope that helps!

I wasn't planning on showing Chuy but just saw there was an ear difference and felt compelled to find out exactly what that difference was. From the pictures it appears my little guy has button ears. I truly appreciate your help. I plan on participating alot on these forums.

*laughing* I wasn't trying to imply that you should or shouldn't show him - just that it really doesn't matter which kind they are, or even if there's one of each!

And before you ask, no, it doesn't matter which way his tail curls, or which side it curls to! (Believe it or not, we do get people who ask these things!)

The important part is that you love him and that he's a good pet for you.
